End Stop Sensor
The end stop sensor is a limit switch that detects when the print carriage reaches the end of its travel, so the printer stops and re-homes accurately on every pass.
Without a working limit switch the carriage can overrun its rail, risking damage to the printhead and belt. If your printer fails to home correctly, or crashes at one end of its travel, this is the first part to check.
