Media clips hold DTF film flat and square on the print bed so it cannot shift or lift while the carriage passes over it.

Why film movement matters

Film that creeps mid-print throws off registration — the second pass lands slightly off the first. On a gang sheet that ruins every design on the sheet, not just one, so a set of clips is cheap insurance against an expensive reprint.

Clips also stop the leading edge lifting as the film warms, which is the usual cause of a head strike on roll-fed machines.
