Peregrine Mainboard

The mainboard is the printer's central controller. It receives the job from your RIP software, processes it into head firing data, drives the carriage and film feed motors, and manages the ink system, sensors and control panel. Where the headboard drives the printheads, the mainboard runs everything else and tells the headboard what to print.

This is a replacement mainboard for Peregrine series DTF printers.

Symptoms of a failing mainboard

• Printer will not power up, or powers up but never initialises
• No USB or network connection to the RIP — the printer is not detected
• Carriage does not home, or crashes into the end stops
• Film feed motors unresponsive while the printer otherwise appears normal
• Jobs sent from the RIP never reach the printer, or print corrupted
• Control panel blank or frozen with power confirmed present
• Repeated random errors across unrelated systems

Faults spread across several unrelated subsystems usually point to the mainboard rather than any single component.

Before you order

Rule out the simpler causes first: confirm the power board is delivering correct voltage, check the USB or network cable, and reseat the ribbon cables between mainboard and headboard. A loose ribbon produces symptoms almost identical to a failed board. Compare your existing board against the product photo before ordering.

Installation

Power down and unplug the printer completely. Photograph the board in place before disconnecting anything — a mainboard carries many connectors and the photo is the fastest reference during reassembly. Handle only by the edges with an anti-static strap.

Firmware or parameter settings may need reloading after fitting. Contact our technical support team if the printer initialises but behaves unexpectedly.
